Attorney Recruiting Defined

There is a difference between attorney recruiting and attorney placement.

If a legal recruiter reaches out to you, it’s typically because they are working on behalf of one of their clients. That’s “attorney recruiting” and the concept is easily explained.

The client has a need to hire an experienced attorney to fill a role in a specific practice area. The legal recruiter will research and create a list of qualified attorneys based on their client’s requirements.

Once a list is prepared, the recruiter (or recruiting team) will begin reaching out to candidates that may be a good match via phone calls, LinkedIn or other social media to initiate conversations to ascertain if the attorney has an interest in the role.

The ultimate goal is to always secure an initial interview as a first step and a successful hire to complete the process, whether the role is temporary or permanent.

At Chambers O’Brien, our recruiting process is very candidate-centric. We truly focus on what’s important to the attorneys we introduce to clients.
